KI & Film: Workflows, Prompting und die Zukunft des Filmemachens

Künstliche Intelligenz verändert die Filmproduktion grundlegend – von der Stoffentwicklung über visuelle Konzepte bis hin zu Postproduktion und Distribution. Der Vortrag beleuchtet praxisnah, wie KI-Tools kreative Prozesse beschleunigen, neue Bildwelten erschaffen und Produktionsabläufe effizienter gestalten können. Gleichzeitig werden Chancen, Grenzen und ethische Fragestellungen diskutiert. Im Fokus stehen konkrete Workflows, effektives Prompting sowie strategische Einsatzmöglichkeiten für unabhängige Filmschaffende. Ein kompakter Deep Dive für alle, die verstehen wollen, wie KI das Kino von morgen prägt.

Im Rahmen der Veranstaltung wird der Beste KI-Film aus dem Programm "INDIERAMA New Cinematic KI-Worlds" ausgezeichnet, das direkt davor um 14:30 Uhr in der SCHAUBURG zu sehen ist.

Filmregisseur und Visual Effects-Artist Andreas Dahn gibt Einblicke in die Entstehung seiner KI-Produktionen, von denen zwei Filme auch im Kurzfilm-Programm „INDIERAMA New Cinematic KI-Worlds“ (Freitag, 17.04.2026, 14:30 Uhr | SCHAUBURG) zu sehen sind der mit der Unreal Engine produzierte Kurzfilm “Cat Content – Entangled in Quantum Physics” und in Gegenüberstellung der mit KI und VFX erzeugte „Jozea Nox – Cruel Monster“. Dabei gibt er Einblicke in den Workflow von KI-Film-Projekten und erklärt, was beim Prompting zu beachten ist.

Film director and visual effects artist Andreas Dahn offers insights into the creation of his AI productions, two of which are also featured in the short film program "INDIERAMA New Cinematic AI Worlds" (Friday, April 17, 2026, 2:30 p.m. | SCHAUBURG): the short film "Cat Content – Entangled in Quantum Physics," produced with the Unreal Engine, and, in contrast, "Jozea Nox – Gruesome Monster," created with AI and VFX. He provides insights into the workflow of AI film projects and explains what needs to be considered during prompting.

Im Anschluss erzählt der preisgekrönte Regisseur und Filmkomponist Marcel Barsotti (Transformation, Die Päpstin) in seiner Keynote über die Entstehung des internationalen KI Science-Fiction Films „IMPERIA“ (2025): vom analogen Drehbuch, Filmmusik, Sounddesign, Schnitt und Dolby Mischung bis hin zu diversen Prompt-Techniken, KI Synchron und einem eigenen Photoshop-Verfahren, welches Barsotti extra für das Design dieses Films entwickelt hat. In 2024 hatte Barsotti bereits seinen ersten KI-Film „Transformation“ hergestellt, der weltweit 17 internationale Preise und 37 Nominierungen erhalten hat. „IMPERIA“ wurde bereits 14-mal international ausgezeichnet, darunter den renommierten International Peace Festival Award. Im Workshop wird zum ersten Mal auch eine erste Szene aus dem neuen KI- Kinofilmprojekt vorgestellt.

In 2024 realisierte Marcel Barsotti als Filmregisseur sein Debut mit dem KI-Kurzfilm "Transformation", welcher 17 internationale Auszeichnungen erhielt, darunter den IPF Award, RIFF Award und den Camgaroo Award. Im Jahr 2025 veröffentlichte Barsotti seinen zweiten KI-Mittellangfilm „Imperia“, der mehrfach ausgezeichnet wurde und in einigen internationalen Kinos lief. 2005 wurde seine erste Filmproduktionsfirma „BAI Pictures“ gegründet. Im Jahr 2026 startet Barsotti mit seinem ersten KI-Kinofilm.

Barsotti ist auch bekannt als Filmkomponist für ein breites Genre internationaler Projekte, u.a. "La Línea Imaginaria", "Die Päpstin", "Das Wunder von Bern" oder "Deutschland. Ein Sommermärchen". Zu Barsotti‘s zahlreichen über 140 internationalen Auszeichnungen und Nominierungen gehören u.a. der Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik, Rome & Madrid International Movie Award, New York Cinematography Award, Nominierungen beim Cannes World Film Festival, International Crystal Pine Award ISFM, dem Deutschen Fernsehpreis, dem Preis der Deutschen Filmakademie, dem Preis der Deutschen Filmkritik und dem Deutschen Musikautorenpreis.

Seit 1995 hat Barsotti die Filmmusik zu mehr als 100 nationalen und internationalen Filmen und Werbespots komponiert, ebenso über 50 Soundtracks und Popalben veröffentlicht und gibt mit seiner Musik internationale Konzerte für Orchester. In diesen Jahren arbeitete er mit berühmten Regisseuren und Produzenten wie Sönke Wortmann, Günter Rohrbach, Caroline Link, Luc Besson-Production, Carl Schenkel, Josée Dayan, Eberhard Junkersdorf und Hark Bohm zusammen. Von 1982 bis 1988 studierte er Komposition, Klavier, Dirigieren und Klarinette an der Musikhochschule in München. Die internationale Sound-Library „Ethno World“, sowie die Production Music Company „Tunesformovies“ gehören auch zu seinem Schaffen. Barsotti ist auch im Vorstand der „Deutschen Filmkomponist*innen Union“, der DEFKOM.

Following this, award-winning director and film composer Marcel Barsotti (Transformation, The Pope Joan) will deliver a keynote address on the creation of the international AI science fiction film "IMPERIA" (2025): from the analog screenplay, film score, sound design, editing, and Dolby mixing to various prompt techniques, AI dubbing, and a custom Photoshop process that Barsotti developed specifically for this film. In 2024, Barsotti produced his first AI film, "Transformation," which received 17 international awards and 37 nominations worldwide. "IMPERIA" has already garnered 14 international accolades, including the prestigious International Peace Festival Award. The workshop will also feature the first-ever presentation of a scene from the new AI feature film project.

In 2024, Marcel Barsotti made his directorial debut with the AI short film "Transformation," which received 17 international awards, including the IPF Award, the RIFF Award, and the Camgaroo Award. In 2025, Barsotti released his second AI medium-length film, "Imperia," which garnered multiple awards and screened in several international cinemas. His first film production company, "BAI Pictures," was founded in 2005. In 2026, Barsotti launched his first AI feature film.

Barsotti is also known as a film composer for a wide range of international projects, including "La Línea Imaginaria," "The Pope Joan," "The Miracle of Bern," and "Germany. A Summer's Tale." Barsotti's numerous awards and nominations, numbering over 140, include the German Record Critics' Award, the Rome & Madrid International Movie Award, the New York Cinematography Award, nominations at the Cannes World Film Festival, the International Crystal Pine Award (ISFM), the German Television Award, the German Film Academy Award, the German Film Critics' Award, and the German Music Authors' Prize.

Since 1995, Barsotti has composed the scores for more than 100 national and international films and commercials, released over 50 soundtracks and pop albums, and performs his music in international orchestral concerts. During this time, he has collaborated with renowned directors and producers such as Sönke Wortmann, Günter Rohrbach, Caroline Link, Luc Besson Productions, Carl Schenkel, Josée Dayan, Eberhard Junkersdorf, and Hark Bohm. From 1982 to 1988, he studied composition, piano, conducting, and clarinet at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich. The international sound library "Ethno World" and the production music company "Tunesformovies" are also part of his work. Barsotti is also a member of the board of the German Film Composers Union (DEFKOM).
